Last week Thursday (05/06/14) I attended the prince regent hotel in Chigwell for the West Essex fashion shopping fair. And what a night it was, filled with fun, Fashion, networking and community spirit. The West Essex fashion fair was the place to be, packed full with new and undiscovered brands, celebrities and eager shoppers hunting for that famous Essex style.
The atmosphere was bustling with conversations, red soles, fashionable spectators and soft garage/ house MUSIC. And all in the name of fashion, style and shopping, the organisers of West Essex fashion fair really took this opportunity to bring fashionable and fashion conscious people all together under one roof to open up are awareness and raise money for a fantastic CHARITY called Haven house.
I also have filmed video clips of the show that are available to watch on Outfittingu Instagram.
Haven house foundation was set up in 1995 their aim was and still is to supports families whose children from birth to the age of 19 have been affected with a terminal or life limiting illness. They help support families in the area of North and East London as well as West Essex and East Hertfordshire. By providing families with services that are tailored to their pacific needs whether it is a short break, nursing, end of life care, social and emotional support and much more. Last year haven house only received 30% of their income from the department of health, primarily care trust and local authorise (government). This means they still have a massive 70% of their income that they need to raise via money donations and sponsorship. In order to keep up the coast of the hospice and allow them to carry on supporting families and the children who need their help and assistance. Remember they provide rooms, qualified staff, positive environments and care for families whose children are approaching the final stages of their lives.
If you would like more information on this charity or if you would like to donate or help with setting up an event to assists with donations please visit Haven House website here.
With only one foot out the car, I knew that this was going to be a great event. The hotel car park was full to the brim and the surrounding roads were also jammed with cars after cars parked on the street. It was by chance or a vajazzled angle that i ended up with a car space inside the hotel car park (YES!!!! and she SCORES).
What more can you ask for than to be greeted with a red carpet entrance, champagne reception, goodie bag and tasteful music. Sipping champagne whilst watching a live performance from the talented Moni Trivony from the VOICE (2013) and Lydia Lucy from XFACTOR (2013)
From the offset you can see that the organisers of West Essex fashion fair had a clear and strong idea of what they wanted their customers to experience. It was a chilled environment that satisfied the fashion eye with fabulous brands and designers that showcased collections for your summer and holiday wardrobe.
Not only could you quench your fashion thirst but BEAUTY and hair lovers could also purchase healthy beauty products and enjoy hair demonstrations from Frankie Essex and Krystalized. They were demonstrating the application process or showing correct colour matching with hair extensions. You could also pop by the DIAMOND Whites booth and book your teeth whiting appointment, take funny pictures in the photo booth, buy shoes and try on your future wedding dress with Great expectation.
My favourite brands at the event were MODE MWAH and SPECTRUM. Spectrum sells make up sponges and glamour’s DIPPED DYED make up brushes that came in luxury leather diamond shape cases, their makeup brushes are extremely soft and sooooo pretty to look at (I had to purchase a set, don’t you just love new make brushes). Let me know in the comment box, if you would like me to do a review on the makeup brushes. The brand MODE MWAH from Liverpool had a rail full of mouth watering colourful beach wear made to perfection. I spoke to the director of the brand; Karen Beardmore who further explained that all their clothes were designed and made by MODE MWAH. I also had a peek at ChI Chi boutique, Orissa boutique,Fay london and The Boutique of Essex. The Boutique of Essex stock some beautiful kaftans, playsuits, and statement Jewellery from Butterfly. You can find them online or visit their boutique located on Epping high street.
I believe a hot day requires a simple, comfortable yet stylish outfit and i achieved that by wearing a black shift dress from Warehouse (an old dress from a couple of years ago) I paired it with my statement new babies from Linzi shoes.
I love this dress, it’s so flattering, it’s definitely one of my favourite get up and go dresses (perfect for those bloated days). The hemline of the dress has a slight curve and the length at the back hangs lower than the front. This is one of the main details I LOVE about this dress Its a type of item that looks better on then swinging from a hanger.
The dress is sheer in nature but with its in built lining and pleated centre at the front and back it gives you an angel like glide when the wind blows. I love when my dress works well with the wind i feel like Mariah Carey ( you know how much she loves her wind machine)
I kept my accessories, makeup and hair very simple because I didn’t want to overwhelm my complete look. How amazing is the background a bit of random info but these pictures were taken in my local tescos car park.
