1963 style inspired!!

Welcome to my style blog Outfitting-Me, 1963 style inspired !!

front coverAfter getting ready, I looked in the mirror (as you do) and thought this outfit looks like something I would wear if I was in the 60s. I thought dirty dancing, girls girls girls with Elvis and summer holiday with Cliff Richards.

As we know, fashion is recycled trends with elements of newness whether it is material, colour or cut. All things fashion and style related has been inspired or birthed from a previous idea or style. And if you take a look at what I’m wearing you will notice that my head band, high-waisted jeans and pointed shoes have highlights of the early 60’s, Now i’ve done the research to clarify my original thoughts (as i mentally argue with myself) it’s nice to prove myself right lol,1963 style inspired my look.

I tried to recreate a dirty dancing feel with the stairs (do you remember baby practicing her dance moves up and down the steep stairs in dirty dancing) well i took inspiration from that in my first picture. I just love the rawness of  the bricks and the green of the grass,no cars or building ruining the picture (not that there’s anything wrong with buildings and cars) i just wanted sole concentration on the outfit and feel of the picture.

What do you think? do you see and feel the inspirations of the early 60s in my style and picture?
